Scope
This policy applies to personal information collected directly by us (including via paper forms, phone, email, and our website) from participants, parents/guardians of participants 18 or older, donors, volunteers, and other supporters. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18; our programs are for participants 18 and older.

We collect only the personal information necessary to operate our programs and support our mission, including:
- Identifying information: name, date of birth (to verify age), address.
- Contact information: email address, phone number, emergency contact details.
- Health and safety information: medical or allergy information and other health details necessary for program participation and safety.
- Media: photographs and video recordings taken during programs or events.
- Financial information: payment or donation details (e.g., card or transaction records) necessary to process payments and donations.
- Volunteer and staff screening: background-check results and related documentation for volunteers/staff.

How we use personal information
We use personal information for functions that support our mission:
- Delivering programs and services, ensuring participant safety, and managing enrollment.
- Communications: newsletters, program updates, event invitations, and fundraising appeals.

Currently we do not use any third-party online service integrations; if that changes, we will update this policy.

- Retention: We generally retain participant, donor, and volunteer records for 1 year from the date of last activity unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Background-check records will be retained consistent with applicable legal or regulatory requirements and organizational policy.
- Cross-border transfers: We do not transfer personal information outside the United States.

Minors
Our programs are intended for individuals 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 18. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it.

Your rights and choices
